Meet Universal Games Team, Creator of Neon 2 Cars Racing Saga on Google Play

Universal Games Team has created a number of creative mobile apps available in the Google Play store. One such app is called Neon 2 Cars Racing and has received (at the time of this writing in early January of 2016) nearly 500 reviews, with an average of 4.6 stars.

It's a neat, tablet-optimized game that lets you race two neon cars--you control both cars at the same time, which makes it challenging to keep both moving in a straight line. The game has obstacles as well as things to collect as you race. You can challenge and compare scores with players all over the world using a leaderboard function as well as social media sharing.

Reviewers are calling it addictive, fun, and more. Our interview below is with the creator of the game.

1. How did you first get started creating apps?

I'm a self-taught designer. I picked it up from books and researching on the internet. As I learned more about apps, I started experimenting with my first hands-on introduction to building a simple user interface and handling user input. I got started by learning to use Android Studio and SDK manager, Android app design.

2. What do you like best about the process of app design?

I like to keep dreaming for ideas. It's a really creative process, and there is no end to the different apps a person can develop.

3. How do you come up with the ideas for your apps?

As I work, I draw from a lot of different influences. For this particular game, I was inspired by my enjoyment of cartoons, as well as action and adventure racing games. Neon technologies further inspire me. I also wanted to make this game a perfect fit for those that want to test their reflexes.

4. What inspired you to create Neon 2 Cars Racing Saga?

In short, I wanted to combine the beautiful properties of neon, and car racing games. I wanted a design that people would enjoy looking at, with relaxing music to listen to while they played. My goal was to create a perfect game for girls and for boys.

5. In your opinion, what separates a good app from a great one?

A great app design is one that will balance appearance with function. It should be a frustratingly-addictive game and a free game!

Meet Jack Rochel, President at Epsilon Electronics

Epsilon Electronics Inc is a company that specializes in automotive technology. They sell products like sub woofers, speakers, turntables, and even lighting products. They have been in the industry for over 30 years now. Learn more at epsilon-pro.com.

1. How has Epsilon Electronics grown since it was founded in 1983?

I have been at Epsilon for almost 18 years now and have seen how much we have grown over the years. In 1996, Epsilon Electronics was the second manufacturer in the United States in the automotive video industry. Now, in 2015 we are a top brand in our industry and we sell our products internationally.

2. When I think of car audio equipment, I think of car stereos, but I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg. What are some popular products that customers buy to enhance the audio experience in their cars?

The head unit is one of the simplest and cheapest ways to improve a car's sound system. But there are several other options to upgrade your system. For example, changing the speakers in your car is an option that doesn't cost much but can make a huge difference to the sound quality. Adding amplifiers is another option, especially if you like to listen to music at high volumes. An amplifier will allow you to listen to music loud without the sound getting distorted. If you have an amplifier, you can also add subwoofers to listen to lower frequencies. If you like listening to music with heavy-bass, subwoofers are the best option.

3. What options are available when it comes to car video equipment?

Here at Epsilon, we have products with mobile video technology for the passengers and for the driver as well. The products we offer for the passenger are video screens that can be mounted on either the headrest or on the ceiling of the car. For the driver, we have screens that can be used for reverse-parking and some screens that can be mounted on your rear-view mirror as well.

4. Are there other electronic products you carry in addition to those meant for automobiles?

We have a great variety of products. We run as an umbrella company for many brands like Soundstream, PowerAcoustik, Farenheit, and EpsilonPro. With these brands we have products outside the automotive industry including lighting products, DJ products, and video products.

5. How do you hope to see Epsilon Electronics continue to grow over the next few years?

Right now, Epsilon Electronics sells in 55 countries around the globe. We hope to continue expanding our business around the world and to provide the newest technology in our industry.

Thanks, Jack!

Introducing Sharp Detail for Mobile Car Detailing

Have you ever thought about having your car detailed but couldn't find the time to take your car in? If you're in the greater Washington DC area, you're in luck because Sharp Detailing offers mobile auto detailing services. For over ten years, the company has been coming to people's homes, workplaces, and more to provide car detailing work.

The idea behind the business is to provide attentive service to all customers. First of all, Sharp Detail is known for their careful hand-washing. They do interior and exterior work, including vacuuming, shampooing, waxing, streak-free mirror cleaning, and tire cleaning and conditioning. Whether you need a spot on your seat or carpet removed, or a detail of your engine, you can work with Sharp Detail for the services you need.

If you aren't someone who regularly has your car detailed, you may find specific occasions when it's important to get detailing. For example, having your car detailed before selling it can increase its resale value. Or maybe your car was in a small accident and needs scratches removed or other sprucing up. A friend of mine had her car stolen and had it detailed afterward, and by the time she was driving it again, she said it felt good as new--a feeling which really erased the stress of having lost her car temporarily.

Even in the cold winter weather, Sharp Detail is busy meeting the needs of their customers to keep their vehicles looking their best. They actively make sure customers are satisfied by reaching out to each and every customer after they do the job. They care about the people who ask them to detail their cars and work hard to make sure every interaction they have with the company is a positive one, including interactions with the technicians as well as the person who does the scheduling.

And finally, Sharp Detail's work is guaranteed, so if you give them a try and aren't satisfied, they will work with you to make it right!

Meet Cark of HondaNavigationUpdates.com

Cark runs the website www.HondaNavigationUpdates.com, which is a resource for Honda owners who want to learn more about getting the best updates for the GPS navigation systems in their cars.

1. Would you give us a little bit of general information about what the Honda navigation system is?

The Honda Navigation system is an inbuilt GPS system crammed with loads of benefits--only what you could expect from Honda the brand. It's inbuilt to the dashboard and comes built into majority of their new cars produced. A lot of the older models had it as an upgrade available on purchase.

2. How does the Honda system differ from other GPS systems?

The Honda system differs from other because of the amount of additional features. I particularly like the points of interest functionality. The Honda Navigation System has 1000s of pre-programmed points of interest that appear on the maps screen as icons while you're driving. These points include hospitals, schools, gas stations, police stations, local business, and amenities.

3. Why is it important to update your navigation system?

It is really important to update your Honda Navigation System. If you don't, you can be wasting time gas and money while polluting the atmosphere. This is because when the system is not updated, it has no way of picking up the new maps. So when programing your journey, it is not taking advantage of any new routes that should be available to you. Also, by using out of date technology, you are not benefiting from all the new and updated points of interest. Plus, you will not have access to new features such as the electronic toll collection feature which plans routes for you minimizing the amount of money spent on toll collection.

4. When you wanted to update your own system, what issues did you run into that inspired you to start your website?

When I wanted to update my Honda Navigation System, I really struggled to find an informative review completed by a Honda driver who was actually the end consumer of this product. I couldn't find much, apart from press releases and marketing. This is why I created this website, and we have a contact us page where we actively request people to share their feedback about updating their Honda Navigation System--once this is done, we can then upload it to the site. This means the site is ever-evolving by other Honda owners' contributions.

5. What can readers find on your site, and is there other info that you're planning to add in the future?

Readers will find informative reviews and pictures, and they can gain a great understanding of what updating your in-car technology can do for them and their driving experience. The site is ever-evolving but does rely on people getting involved. This allows the site to grow, sticking to the values I have built it on, ensuring that the reader gets information from different people and can see real life reviews from Honda owners and enthusiasts.

Thanks, Cark!

London Drivers for Sightseeing and Private Transfers

Followers of this blog might remember when I posted before about custom tours of Italy where you travel in a minivan. So here's another post about an inconspicuous way to travel abroad. Did you know that there are licensed private car services in and around London that can cost you 40% less than a taxi? If you need to get to an airport or a cruise ship port, or if you just want to do some sightseeing, you can hire a car for less.

For example, for a cab Manchester to London (or London to Manchester, of course), you can find an affordable transfer fare, especially if you book ahead of time. You can also choose from different types of cars, from an executive car that carries three passengers, up to a minibus which carries up to eight passengers.

The drivers are licensed professionals, and they can pick you up at all sorts of popular points in and around London. They have fixed prices for common journeys, so you know what to expect, and nobody will be playing any games with the meter! Submit the info about your journey using the "request quote" feature on the London Drivers site, and plan your travel budget accordingly.

Introducing DealerTalk.co, a Website About the Automotive Industry

DealerTalk.co is an automotive website covering everything from automotive reviews to how to rebuild a gearbox. The editors accept blog posts from other sources on a monthly basis and promote them heavily through social media.

1. As a community for people in the automotive industry, what does DealerTalk.co seek to publish?

We are looking to communicate content from small to medium sized businesses who are specialists in their own niche of the automotive market. By giving the "small guy" a platform to talk from, we hope to build a user base that will create conversation and interaction.

2. Where do you find content to share on your site?

We are active on Google+, and we have many requests from businesses to promote their thoughts, which we are happy to do! We have a number of other sites and forums which we participate in and find that the dialogue often creates relationships with other like-minded individuals.

3. What do you see as some of the most interesting topics in the auto world today?

The subprime bubble! We are still feeling the aftershocks of the housing crash, and yet we are heading into the same disaster with used car loans.

4. How have you seen automotive professionals increase their offline business by becoming more active online?

Absolutely! One of the dealers I work with at present now generates over 50% of their sales from the web. Almost 10% of this now comes from social media!

5. Do you have any tips when it comes to writing in an effective/engaging way about auto-related topics?

Be passionate about it. Also, I try to find topics which I can break down into a series. That way one great topic covers many articles!

Thanks!
