Introducing IMDEX Asia 2015, a Maritime Security Conference

If you have an interest in maritime safety and security, you'll want to make note of the fact that there's a maritime security conference to be hosted from May 19-21 by the Republic of Singapore Navy and the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies.

The International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference, also known as IMDEX Asia, is hosting its tenth biennial conference in 2015. The event will be held at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore. The conference theme is "Safe and Secure Seas - Strengthening Cooperation in Maritime Security."

The conference includes an exhibition, strategic conferences, and a warships display. The exhibition has become so popular that booth spaces for exhibitors have sold out very quickly, which reflects the growing naval industry in the region where the conference is being held. According to a media release from the IMDEX website, the Asia Pacific market recently surpassed Europe to become the second-largest naval market in the world, after the US.

The IMDEX website is very thorough and contains detailed information on past conferences as well as a lot of information about what attendees can expect at the 2015 conference.
