There are some great free or low-cost classified services online, and I'm sure we all have our favorites. It seems that different services are more or less popular in different parts of the US or parts of the world. What are the most popular services in your area?

I think a lot of people are using online classifieds instead of having garage sales or going garage sale shopping. Why drive around for hours to find something that you can find online with a few clicks of the mouse? And maybe you just have one or two things to sell rather than the huge amount needed for a successful garage sale. If you have even just one thing you no longer need and that you want to sell, you could definitely try placing a classified ad.

Also, I find that classifieds are great for large and/or heavy things that are a nuisance to ship. So if you are cleaning out your garage and have some heavy tools, etc, the classifieds could be your best bet.
