TrueGether, A Free Online Marketplace for Buyers and Sellers

Last November I learned about a site called TrueGether and posted an introduction to the site.

Over the last six months, the site has continued to grow. There is a useful feature for sellers which allows you to use TrueGether to manage multiple marketplaces. You just select one marketplace as your primary marketplace, and when you make adjustments to product quantities and other info, it gets updated in your other marketplaces. This feature currently works with eBay, Facebook, and Google Shopping.

TrueGether also uses social media and SEO techniques to get the word out about your products. When someone makes a purchase from you, their friends hear about that purchase on social media. TrueGether also makes it easier to get social endorsements for your products.

If you want to buy and sell items directly on the TrueGether marketplace, you pay no fees to list, sell, or buy. So there's no risk in trying out the marketplace as a new venue for your products. Buyers can trust the site because they are able to buy products using PayPal or Amazon Payments.

If you're a buyer and/or a seller looking for a free online marketplace, check out TrueGether and see what you think.

Introducing Bidkay, An Online Auction Site

As someone who enjoys buying and selling products online, I'm always interested to hear about a new online marketplace. Bidkay is an auction website which allows members to buy and sell new or used merchandise, services, electronics, household items, books, and more.

Bidkay is free to join, and you pay and get paid using the secure services of PayPal. Buyers and sellers also have the option to complete cash transactions in person if they prefer. Bidkay also offers free listings and free upgrades such as a bold title, a free store, and a featured home page. Sellers pay a fee when they make a sale.

The site also has advanced search functions which allow you to search closed auctions or to look for the listings of a particular seller. These sorts of features are great for both buyers and sellers to do the research they need for successful transactions.

I have seen a lot of sellers especially who are looking for alternatives to eBay, and Bidkay is positioning itself to be that very thing. The site has a clean layout, and with the free upgrades, I think sellers will be intrigued! I hope that people will find Bidkay and help it catch on as an easy to use, interactive marketplace.

Below is a video with more information about Bidkay.

An Introduction to TrueGether

When it comes to buying and selling online, a lot of people are always interested in finding credible alternatives to eBay. For buyers, they want (of course!) to find the best price as well as a reliable and secure transaction. For sellers--especially those who rely on income from their online sales--it can be helpful to diversify and reach out to customer through multiple platforms rather than putting all their eggs in one basket.

Enter TrueGether, a startup company looking to change the landscape of online transactions by offering a system that is easy to use, secure, and free. That's right: TrueGether charges no fees, which means no listing fees and no transaction fees.

When I asked how TrueGether can afford its fee-free system, they explained that they are developing a release which will allow managing multiple marketplaces from TrueGether. This will be a subscription based feature, and they hope it will generate sufficient revenue for the site. Personally, I can see how this would be a desirable feature for sellers who wish to list items on multiple marketplaces.

TrueGether also distinguishes itself by leveraging social media to build trust in between buyers and sellers, who log in with their Facebook or LinkedIn accounts. In addition, TrueGether adds products to Google shopping for free: when sellers add products to TrueGether, the system automatically adds the same products to Google Shopping.

As someone who regularly uses eBay and Etsy, I look forward to following the development of this new site!

She has over 15 years in substantial management business roles, and is involved in various industry, trade, and professional associations. A real estate and business investor, Nancy is currently focusing 100% of her efforts on TrEmbu.com.

1. What is the TrEmbu.com brand, and how did you choose the name for the business?

The TrEmbu brand offers an easier and more affordable venue to online sellers. Sellers can list and sell for free anything of quality: this includes products that they invent, handmade items, or even items that sellers have found to resell. We provide resources that empower our sellers and buyers to engage in successful online shopping experiences; it's our goal to provide exceptional quality products and outstanding customer service.

The name was hard to come up with since so many domain names are taken. We wanted to choose a meaningful name that was also short, and after days of working with combinations of several words, we came up with TrEmbu.

TrEmbu stands for: Teaming with Resources & Entrepreneurs Managing Business Undertaking.

In plain English, TrEmbu means: Facilitating Tools for Owners with Initiative to Manage Profitable Online Stores.

2. What motivated you to start an online social marketplace for sellers?

Four years ago, I used to sell on Etsy, and while they offer traffic and sales at high commission prices, they have strict policies about the specific items they do and do not allow, and sellers risk suspension and more for reselling quality products if these products do not qualify as handmade or vintage according to Etsy's standards.

As I did more research about experiences of Etsy sellers who had lost their shops, I wanted to create a solution to store suspension, and I decided to create TrEmbu.com as a marketplace where online sellers would sell anything of quality and value, and no one would get left behind.

3. How did you determine what items could be sold in a store at TrEmbu.com?

With the economy being as challenging as it has been for years, more people are in need of solutions to help make ends meet. Some sellers online sell vintage, antiques, collectibles, handcrafted items, etc. As I mentioned above, some of the current marketplaces restrict as to the kind of items you can sell on their marketplace. On some you can only sell handmade, vintage, supplies, antiques, etc. I decided to create a marketplace where you can purchase any quality product, sold by the inventor, maker, or finders.

4. How do plan to accomplish TrEmbu's mission statement, "To become the leader in online E-commerce platforms"?

I think getting there, it is just a matter of time by providing powerful tools that empower our sellers, by listening to their needs, and treating them with respect and dignity. Once at the top, finding balance without losing vision of this mission is key. We are ready for whatever life and universe throws our way.

5. What can you share about the near future of TrEmbu.com, and what would you like to tell sellers about why they would want to open a store with you?

We are getting a new and fun look soon. Our traffic is increasing and currently is at over 20,000 daily visitors. Our ranking, tools, and marketing are getting better and better every day. We are committed to treating our sellers and their customers with dignity and fairness, while providing effective solutions for them. 2012 will be our year; keep an eye on us so that we can pleasantly surprise you!

One of our sellers named Dave says: "TrEmbu.com is the best place to open a store. We are not limited to handmade crafts, and it is the cheapest without cost to list and no added payments during sales." I hope you will visit this link for more reviews of our services.

Thanks, Nancy!
