Introducing the Singapore Airshow

If you're interested in the aerospace and defense market, I'm sure you keep an eye on upcoming international air shows, such as the Singapore Airshow. This event happens every two years, and the next show is scheduled to be held in February 2016, from the 16th through the 21st.

The Singapore Airshow includes two conferences, the Singapore Airshow Aviation Leadership Summit and the Asia Pacific Security Conference. Aerospace and defense professionals from around the world will be attending these conferences. Attendees include both commercial and government representatives.

The 2014 show included the announcement of major contracts for well-known companies like Boeing and Airbus. In all, there were deals announced that were worth more than $32 billion in all. The trade exhibitors at the event reported being very pleased with the event when they were surveyed about their experiences; in fact, 99% of exhibitors said they were satisfied with the event.

The Singapore Airshow also gives a big boost to the local economy. According to the show's website, the 2014 show contributed S$319 million to Singapore's economy, a 25% increase from the 2012 show. One can only imagine that the 2016 show will be an even bigger success.

Introducing IMDEX Asia 2015, a Maritime Security Conference

If you have an interest in maritime safety and security, you'll want to make note of the fact that there's a maritime security conference to be hosted from May 19-21 by the Republic of Singapore Navy and the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies.

The International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference, also known as IMDEX Asia, is hosting its tenth biennial conference in 2015. The event will be held at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore. The conference theme is "Safe and Secure Seas - Strengthening Cooperation in Maritime Security."

The conference includes an exhibition, strategic conferences, and a warships display. The exhibition has become so popular that booth spaces for exhibitors have sold out very quickly, which reflects the growing naval industry in the region where the conference is being held. According to a media release from the IMDEX website, the Asia Pacific market recently surpassed Europe to become the second-largest naval market in the world, after the US.

The IMDEX website is very thorough and contains detailed information on past conferences as well as a lot of information about what attendees can expect at the 2015 conference.

Introducing Postnatal Massage Singapore

If you are in Singapore and have just had a baby, you might be interested in learning more about a business called Postnatal Massage Singapore or PNSG. They have over twenty years of experience in providing postnatal massage services to clients.

The main idea of postnatal massage is to help women as their bodies go through the recovery process after giving birth. Not only does this help women feel better, but it can also help them in getting back their pre-pregnancy bodies.

In addition to postnatal massage, PNSG offers other massage therapies, too, including prenatal massage and baby massage. The baby massage, for example, is a process that helps mothers learn ways to bond more closely with their infants through touch; the masseuse works with the mother and baby in very short sessions.

There are some promotions currently offered on the PNSG site if you want to give their services a try. They have a prenatal trial for mothers who want to meet the masseuse and try the massage therapy before committing to a series of sessions. With their postnatal massage, they offer an "assurance package" so that clients who buy a package of sessions can change their minds after the trial session if they wish.

To get an idea of the services and how they can help new and soon-to-be mothers, the testimonials page on the website is especially interesting as you get a first-hand perspective about the value of massage for healing the body during and after pregnancy.

Introducing OOm's Blog about SEO and More

I'm always interested in learning more about search engine optimization, so it's good to find a company that does SEO work and maintains a blog on the topic where people like me can read up on the latest information in the field. OOm in Singapore provides SEO services and publishes info about their work on their blog.

One topic of note to those with an interest in increasing or maintaining their website's rank in the search engines is the methods of adapting to search engine updates. The most recent post on the OOm blog at the time that I visited addressed this topic and discussed how to avoid cheap and easy "fixes" and instead maintain a calmer, longer-range perspective. As the post points out, search engine updates actually addressed issues that are common sense when you think about finding quality content--do you want to read short, keyword-stuffed articles? Probably not!

Other blog posts address how to build the best site you can build, both in terms of readers wanting to read and return to it and in terms of the search engines ranking your site well. The bottom line is that you need to think of your readers to produce solid content that can help your site in Google and the other search engines. To quote one of the OOm posts: "Be honest in building your site... Your audience is smart so take care of them."

OOm offers a lot of different services for people who are looking to improve their websites. They offer SEO, search engine marketing, social media marketing, and more. They can help you create quality content, and they can help you create click-worthy banner ads. Really I think that reading their blog gives you a good idea of their mindset, and I appreciate their balanced, honest perspective.

In the end, creating a good site requires an investment of sincere effort. Who is your audience, and what do they want to know? These are the kinds of questions that OOm will help you ask. Their site demonstrates their aesthetic by providing useful information in an easy to navigate format.

Introducing Staycations in Singapore

Who doesn't like a staycation? Here's a clever website built around the idea of taking a short holiday: find Singapore staycation ideas, with reviews of hotels for all budgets posted by locals.

The purpose of the site is twofold as it provides Singaporeans with ideas for quick trips to nearby destinations, and it gives tourists to Singapore useful information on hotels in the area.

I always look at websites for reviews when I'm going to book lodging somewhere, and the nice bonus with this particular site is the advantage of information from locals. If someone is willing to pay for a staycation in one of the hotels on the site rather than just have a staycation at home, that's great information to have. The site also includes lots of pictures and videos to give you a clearer impression of each hotel.

Keep up with the latest updates from the site by following Singapore Staycations on Facebook.
