An Interview with ForeX Masters

ForeX Masters is a service offering courses and support for people learning to be traders. They provide trading knowledge and skills meant to translate into successful trading. After sharing their knowledge through courses, they monitor new traders' performance and how they are applying what they have learned. Learn more at http://www.fxmasters.co.uk/.

1. How did ForeX Masters get started?

ForeX Masters started as a complimentary service that we were offering to some of our alternative fund investors. Some of them had experience trading their own stock and commodities account and wanted to learn more about Forex market and how our fund strategy was delivering hedge alpha.

Before we knew it, we had more people being referred to us via our brokers and clients, and decide it would be a good and fun opportunity to deliver in-depth forex education. This also serves as a tool for our expansion plan while recruiting and growing talent.

2. What are the main differences between the three Forex courses that you offer?

We understood based on our own experience and the feedback of our clients that people have different needs. These needs can be based on their lifestyle, life stage, and financial goal. Some are doing trading for fun, while others do it as a mean to earn extra money. Still others simply do it as a means to build a long-term retail trader career. In some cases, I have seen people transiting from stock and indices for career purposes. Not many big institutions offer an in depth trading course but expect their traders to have acquired that knowledge. Therefore, we thought it necessary to design different courses with the aim of filling business needs in mind while always providing a solid base.

3. How have your courses helped people with their ability to trade either part-time or full-time; in other words, what are some of the key skills that you teach?

We have had a great success to date with every student that manages to complete their chosen program while respecting and following our methodology. Till today we have some our student testimony that can be seen below as successful examples, and for those that still struggle we do operate a open door policy, where the can get in touch with any of our coaches for a free refresher session.

I actually had a student contacting me in October last year almost 18 months after completing his program; he told me he needed help, and I spent two months coaching him after we met for a coffee. Sometimes people lose interest and drive, and as with mastering any skill in life, successful trading take requires time and having the right attitude is key.

Students usually come out with a deep understanding of technical and fundamental analysis but more importantly the importance and impact of countries' economies, and central bank policies on currencies exchange. And another important lesson is the correlation between currencies and commodities. Something I always assure my students is that by the end of one of our program, your view on the world will drastically change while at the same time your understanding of it will help you have a more fulfilling life.

4. Are there any misconceptions that you commonly see people having about trading?

Misconceptions associated with Forex trading are always the same with the financial trading industry and investing: people believing it's a scam or that huge amounts of money are required to invest or simply that the markets are rigged so that only the wealthy would profit.

Contrary to stock and indices, for example, there's no one entity that can control the outcome of a trading session. With the Forex market it's a fragmented and decentralised market where all parties need each other and the biggest players do need the smallest to a certain extent. Anyone can profit from this market if they put the time and effort into learning. Even the best traders and funds do lose money at times; the secret is to stick to risk management and build consistency.

Another misconception is that it's impossible to make an income from trading, which is totally untrue. People can indeed make a living from trading but once again this requires knowledge time and discipline

5. For people who have always wanted to get into trading, what makes Forex a good option compared to other ways of investing?

The Forex market offer a unique way for individuals to invest and trade 24 hours a day. The information needed to make informed trading decision is widely available on most brokers' platforms and specialist websites for free.

Thanks!

Introducing Mojtaba Khamenei of Algorates

You may have seen the name Mojtaba Khamenei in the news because of the fact that his father is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. But did you know that Mojtaba Khamenei is the owner of Algorates, a company that specializes in algorithmic trading?

Because of the trade embargo, it was difficult for Mojtaba Khamenei to achieve his goal of building a business outside of Iran, but after some years of work, he was able to purchase Algorates. In fact, it is the first investment house in the US to be owned by an Iranian.

Algorates has become a huge international company, with a large advertising budget expended in the Middle East in particular. In fact, the company has 20 branches in the Middle East. The success of the company has allowed Mojtaba Khamenei to develop other businesses and make other major purchases in the US and Europe--for example, he owns a French soccer team.

With the global economy, it can be interesting indeed to find out who the owners of various international companies happen to be. You might find a surprise or two, such as the son of an Iranian cleric who has become the head of a US-based investment house.

Introducing Chang Ju Yung, Entrepreneur

I always enjoy learning about the interesting stories of entrepreneurs, so it was intriguing to hear about Chang Ju Yung. Yung's story is especially interesting since he grew up on a farm, then become the CEO of two famous organizations: the investment house, Algorates; and one of the biggest car companies in the world, Hyundai.

Sometimes Westerners don't hear the individual success stories of businesspeople who are based in Asia, but we'd do well to learn from Yung's experiences. He grew up in poverty in a village in South Korea. He worked on a farm every day until one day he left for Seoul to start a business. His first business failed, and he returned to the farm, but he didn't give up on his dream.

The next time he started a business in Seoul, he started a garage. It was this garage that would lead him to start Hyundai. He expanded the garage, then decided to expand even more and start making cars. After many years, his company became a huge business not only in South Korea but all over the world.

For a lot of people, one internationally successful business would be enough, but Yung had more interests to explore. Thus, he bought into a company called Algorates which words with algorithmic trading. Bringing his knowledge and experience to the company, it has grown a lot with his participation.

I always appreciate when people bring my attention to creative businesspeople like Chang Ju Yung!

Introducing AlgoRates.com

In the few years that I've been writing this blog, I've written about different sites and products related to financial topics, but I think this is my first post on algorithmic trading. AlgoRates.com is a site that offers an automated investment management system which is professionally controlled by human analysts.

The AlgoRates system is always being reviewed through the company's continual improvement process, and new research is brought to bear on how the system works. The idea of the system is to help small traders who have historically experienced losses in the market. Large banks and funds have uses algorithmic trading for years, and AlgoRates strives to help smaller investors build their portfolios in this way, too.

The website also contains informational material on what algorithmic trading is, its potential advantages, and what strategies the company utilizes. In a nutshell, this type of trading uses an online trading platform (or computer software program) that uses a set of operations (an algorithm) to automatically make trades based on specific factors that are programmed into the algorithm, such as price and timing.

Honestly, there's much more to learn on this topic than your humble blogger can explain to you, but AlgoRates is an interesting place to start if you want to learn more.

Trading Robots and AlgoRates.com

I learn a lot of different things about business and finance through topics that people suggest for this blog, and here's a new one: trading robots. Turns out that there's an investment management company called AlgoRates which uses complex software to predict market changes.

The trading robots from AlgoRates use algorithmic software to make predictions. Using trends in the marketplace and looking at past data, the system makes projections about future prices. The software can sift through thousands of pieces of data to find useful indicators. The robots have led to successful predictions regarding the value of currency and precious metals. AlgoRates couples technically sophisticated software with experienced brokers who interpret the data.

There are a lot of different investment funds out there. It's interesting indeed to look at the different ways that different firms are collecting and analyzing data with the help of software as well as experienced brokers. I know I have a lot more to learn on this topic!

Introducing Mike's Binary Options Blog

I don't profess to understand a great deal about how binary options work (yet!), but I know a lot of people are interested in this form of financial investing, and I'd say it's worth investigating. Michael Freeman recently sent me a link to his binary options blog, and I think it's a useful resource to bookmark for those who are wanting to learn more about this topic, starting with Mike's binary options dictionary, which helped me contextualize some of the financial terms I already know within the specific world of binary options.

The site includes a wealth of video content. For example, on Mike's strategy guide page, he explains several popular trading practices and gives a series of trading tips. I like seeing the videos complemented by the text-based explanations on the blog, but if you just want to focus on the videos, you can check out Mike's YouTube page.

New and experienced investors alike should enjoy Mike's reviews of various brokers, including his top ten list of brokers. His reviews are thorough, and he even has a "blacklist" page of brokers who have proven to be dishonest.

What I like best about the site is that it has a personal touch; you really get the sense that there's a helpful person behind it, someone who wants to share information about a topic that interests him.

Learn Forex Trading with Investment Capital Systems

The Forex market involves a worldwide network of brokers who, in the words of Investopedia.com, "buy, sell, exchange and speculate on currencies." It's a huge financial network made up of banks, companies, investors, and more. If you're like me, you've probably heard of Forex trading but don't know much about it.

As a starting point, the team at Investment Capital Systems, a resource for tools and products about Forex trading, has set up a "New to Forex" page on its website.

The company offers automated solutions to help traders spend less time working on their investments. In addition, ICS has developed a series of educational tools to teach prospective investors about Forex; check out their website to find several reports that are free to download. ICS is a new company, but they say that their team "comes from a strong trading background with first hand knowledge of what traders need and want in order to trade effectively."

Visitors can leave comments on many of the pages of their site. I have been checking out the site, and I've noticed that comments receive a quick reply, which is always a plus!

Meet Lewis of Invade Wall St

Lewis and his team at Invade Wall St are highly regarded traders living in the United States. Lewis alone has over 10 years of experience trading in currency markets and is today recognized by private investors as a phenomenal price action Foreign Exchange (Forex) trading strategist. His success as a trader can be attributed to his unique and simple trading philosophy of discipline and patience. His philosophy recognizes that markets can experience large moves. The big money is made by capitalizing on these large moves, and the strategies implemented are specific to following the trend of the market. His viewpoint is based on the same premise as many of the world's best traders.

1. Who started Invade Wall St., and what's the inspiration behind it?

Invade Wall St. was started by a group of traders working inside the financial industry who saw and are still seeing highly informed people make fortunes while the overwhelming majority of the world is living in fear of what seems to be a decaying reality and an unknown future.

The truth is there is no such thing as a good or bad economy on a micro or personal level. We live in a world where your network is truly your net worth. The gap between anyone experiencing economic freedom comes down to the quality of information you share with the friends on your Facebook page.

A good economy represents preparation for the unknown but inevitable. A bad economy is a reflection of people living in the now, even when they know things can be better. Knowing that you're employed today is no guarantee of employment tomorrow.

What amazes our founding group is how many "brilliant" people, in the US and around the world, don't see this time in our history as anything more than a recession. This in turn gives hope to the uninformed masses that everything will revert back at some point to some sense of normalcy if we can only reform Wall Street or replace politicians with those who will "DO THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE."

Yet we govern our own homes and personal economies as poorly as our leadership in Washington has done for decades.

We will soon have to deal with the reality that the world is not in a cyclical recession, but that the world has been going through a fundamental reset since the advent of the Internet. What was once normal will cease to exist.

What was once impossible will become commonplace for those who choose to revolve in a world of actionable information. Media hysteria, outdated education, political gamesmanship, and protest movements, while valuable, are viewed as weak responses when sitting inside of corporations that produce billions on quarterly bases.

Protests as well as grassroots movements must develop an economic engine within their movements in order to plant and cultivate the seeds of change in the face of powerful people who see no value in change. This is the inspiration behind the Invade Wall St. movement.

2. What services and/or products are offered via Invade Wall St.?

We offer three services via Invade Wall St.:

1. Good Capitalism
2. Community
3. Simplicity and Economic Sovereignty in Regards to Investing

Good Capitalism

Good Capitalism is a sea where all boats rise, not just yachts. If any 9 to 5 working Republicans read this, we are not advocating a version of socialism, but capitalism and free enterprise version 2.0 via some of the biggest financial markets the world has to offer.

Within markets who offer substantial liquidity lie the foundation for a form of capitalism that actually builds value for society and serves individuals beyond those that provide capital, i.e. Wall Street, the corporate elite, or the 1%. At the same time, it speaks to one’s own personal and selfish sense of prosperity.

The system of investing we offer members of the Invade Wall St. movement is the same system we developed for professional floor traders, but with some added safety features. These features make it more suitable for smaller retail investors who simply want more money and really have no interest in becoming a professional trader.

To successfully run the system takes about 10 minutes per day Monday through Thursday.

This is an extremely low risk, high reward approach to investing, unlike what 70 million people are experiencing in their 401k plans which have a limited upside and a huge downside. The results you’re going to experience with this system are quite frankly phenomenal!

We're not exaggerating when we say this is probably going to be the easiest money you'll ever make. The only thing that could make this system fail over the long term is you not sticking to the rules. That's it! If you stick to the rules of the system, you'll do very well when compared to any current investment you already have.

Community

The founders of our movement believe leaders amongst the grassroots movements should confront together the problems that no one can solve alone. When leaders everywhere no longer express as much confidence about the future as they once did and when we've spoken to some candidly, it often sounds as if they feel trapped in quicksand, unable to move forward easily.

The methods and tools that helped them succeed in the past no longer work. The challenges they face—such as poverty, community violence, health, environmental risks, etc., all have an inadequate infrastructure.

When they try to reach beyond the boundaries of their own supporters through government agency, or nongovernmental organization, there often is no clear pathway to success.

Our goal is to not only build wealth for members, but to set a social community with a purpose. It's akin to a laser focused version of Facebook. When you find a friend here, it's a new supporter of your movement, often in your city, who's currently building wealth via our investment program.

Simplicity and Economic Sovereignty in Regards to Investing

Our lives are more complicated and difficult to manage than ever. Our economy to the untrained eye seems more uncertain than ever. Our resources are scarcer than ever. There is endless choice and feature overkill in all but the best experiences. The simple life is a thing of the past as we all chase the dollar and a dream.

We often say, "The noise is deafening, but clear signals are weak." Everything is too complicated and time-consuming, resulting in confusion in the marketplace.

We want to welcome everyone to the age of subtraction.

Subtraction is defined simply as the art of removing anything excessive, confusing, wasteful, or hard to use--and the discipline to refrain from adding it in the first place. When you take this approach to building wealth, you'll find the process easy to understand and rather exciting.

When you lower the noise level in your life, signals become strong. Strong signals lead to better decisions. Better decisions lead to prosperity. Prosperity leads to a life of economic sovereignty. This is how we'll change the system.

3. Why do you think many people continue working in jobs they don't enjoy?

Just about everyone you come across today is going through some kind of struggle in their lives. Most people bear such a heavy burden, quietly and alone, so focused on making sure it looks like they have everything under control that they forget they don't have to have it all under control.

When you are under that type of pressure it leads to fear--fear of the unknown.

Every hour of every day people have conflicting thoughts run through their minds, always with the constant pressure of money looming in some form or another. This makes most people confused and timid.

The stakes seem too high to make a change because your thinking is clouded with so much noise. Millions of people go through these struggles every day throughout the world.

4. Are you finding that the Occupy movements have moved people to make changes how they earn and/or spend money?

No.

We have been in rooms with CEOs who look at the movement as nothing more than a minor distraction. In fact, a big financier we know calls it "street theater." The movement has the organizational skills but lacks the resources to bring about permanent change in a corporate environment where quarterly profits are counting in the hundreds of millions. The change has to come from the inside out.

You have to invade the system and its core, which are the shareholders--everyday people just like you and me. The shareholders give the greed in Wall Street the lifeline it needs to conduct business as usual. Until the base of shareholders change, nothing will change, at least not permanently.

If IWS really wants to change corporate structure and impact the economy, talk to shareholders. Talk to your parents, uncles/aunts, cousins, and friends who own shares of stocks either directly or indirectly and have them state loudly and clearly that they want change.

You might even consider buying a share of stock. If you don't have money to invest, this is where the Invade Wall St. Movement can help you. Our process builds risk or investable capital. Simply meaning, it is extra money outside of the money you need to live and pay your bills.

Target the company's shareholder meetings en masse through your grassroots movements. Let them know how you feel about the best interests of shareholders. If all else fails, via the Invade Wall St. process you'll still build wealth with like-minded people, so you can start your own enterprises that better address the needs of the people overall.

5. What are two or three relatively simple things people might do if they want to take more control of their finances?

Save your money. Save as much money as you possibly can, every penny you can. Instead of coffee, drink water. Instead of going to McDonald's, cook a meal at home. Cut up your credit cards. If you use a credit card, you'll always find yourself behind the eight ball. The first step to becoming economically sovereign requires discipline.

Second, you must have cash available. You aren't saving for retirement. You are saving for the moment you need cash. Buy and hold is a sucker's game for you. A perfect example will be the 70-plus million people that are stuck in 401k plans. Cash is king. Our investment philosophy only puts cash in the market when the market is moving.

Most importantly, changing your personal economy means getting smarter. Investing time in yourself and becoming knowledgeable about how the market flows is vital. It's also important to share the knowledge with your family, friends, and social network. This is why we established such a community with Invade Wall St. Your network will impact your net worth.

Thanks, Lewis!
