TurboTax Discount Coupon

TurboTax has become very popular for people looking for an easy to use software program to help them do taxes. The manufacturers update TurboTax each year to reflect the latest changes in tax laws, so you don't have to keep up with all these details yourself.

For many of us, it's too pricey to see an accountant--or for that matter, our taxes are actually fairly simple as long as we're using a program that asks us the right questions. If you're a do-it-yourself type of person but also feel like taxes isn't your area of expertise, using a software program can be a good and affordable compromise between going completely DIY and hiring professional help.

When you buy TurboTax online, you can find coupons in a lot of places to save money on your software purchase. Here are a couple of specific links for 2014 TurboTax discount coupons that were sent to me by a reader of the blog.

Two Tax Related Sources of Information

There is a lot of tax-related information online--and with good reason, because there are so many tax-related questions that need answers. For example, because of last year's government shutdown, there was some delay in people receiving important tax information, and there were questions about even the most (seemingly!) straightforward topics like when people could begin filing their 2013 returns, such as this article discusses: http://www.examiner.com/article/when-can-i-file-my-2013-taxes.

Another site with a lot of articles on tax issues is http://www.express-tax-refund.com/. Recent articles on this site cover the basics of TurboTax software and how Obamacare affects tax credits and related issues.

The tax code changes from year to year, and there are a lot of places to look up info online. I find that I generally start by looking at irs.gov but then end up using Google to find more plain-language explanations of what I want to know!

Introducing Sandy Springs CPA and Tax Service

Remember when choosing an accountant amounted to browsing the Yellow Pages and hoping for the best? Well, I know I'm dating myself, but I think we sometimes take websites for granted. For example, if you lived in Duluth, Georgia and wanted to find tax services, you could learn a lot about Sandy Springs CPA & Tax Service by checking out their detailed website. Not only does the site include a lot of information about the services they provide, but the site is also a useful resource and starting point if you are looking to learn about some frequent concerns that come up for individuals and small businesses, such as sales tax, payroll, and how to incorporate your business.

As you may or may not know, tax laws often change, and the accountants at Sandy Springs keep on top of the changes to help their clients save money. Homeowners, landlords, and small business owners may all be missing important elements when doing their taxes, so why not consult a professional for advice? If you're like me and tend to be a do-it-yourselfer, you might like the service the Sandy Springs provides for helping you get set up to use Quickbooks.

Nicholas A. Trishin, CPA, is the owner of Sandy Springs Tax & Accounting, and the company has been in the tax business since 2001. For more information, here's a video featuring Mr. Trishin discussing his business.

Jassen Bowman and TaxMarketingHQ.com

We've all heard people complain about taxes, and many of us have been guilty of our own share of complaints, but Jassen Bowman takes a more optimistic approach. He's an Enrolled Agent, which means that he's licensed directly by the IRS to represent taxpayers who have problems with the IRS. Jassen has been negotiating the resolution of tax debts for over five years now. He set up his website, TaxMarketingHQ.com, in order to teach other tax professionals (including CPAs, tax attorneys, and other Enrolled Agents) how to do the same thing.

Jassen's blog has an emphasis on providing excellent customer service, and he suggests a variety of useful tips that professionals can use to help market their tax business more effectively. He also draws from his own experience to offer ideas that professionals can apply today to make their businesses more efficient. The blog has a friendly and helpful tone.

Given the educational nature of the blog, it's not surprising that Jassen has developed other educational materials. In fact, he offers a full training course which teaches tax resolution. Tax resolution is a very lucrative field for tax professionals to be engaged in, and Jassen has written an ebook on the subject as well.

He also offers training courses teaching tax professionals how to market their services to grow their practices, and he writes a lot about "best practices" in actually operating their businesses. Anyone in the tax field or interested in entering it would do well to check out Jassen's informative site.
