1. How did you first become interested in working with online payment providers in your career?
I enjoy the speed of transformation of the industry and the "hidden" overall value. Online payment providers like Skrill make payments happen online with extremely low fraud rates that nobody could ever imagine just one decade before. Even in high risk industries, we manage to decrease fraud to a level that even the cash industry cannot beat, especially when you take fake money into comparison. We make payments happen on a global level from the states to Europe, Australia, everywhere. Who could have foreseen one generation before, that it is as easy to pay someone on the other side of the planet as someone next door.
3. How do you see the world of online payments developing and changing over the next year or so?
It will change by far. I am sure we will see "online" payment penetrating also the physical stores. The trend to paying with your mobile phone or even your watch in a store will become mainstream.

Meet Daniel Wicharz, Senior Sales Executive
Daniel Wicharz is a Senior Sales Executive with Skrill. He began working with the European payment provider Skrill at the end of 2013, and he is responsible for sales operations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In the past, Daniel worked as Senior Sales Representative for payment provider PayPal where he gained experience in the e-payment industry.
